The most decorated African rapper, Sarkodie has been criticised heavily for asking the president to open the borders for Ghanaians abroad to return home.
Sarkodie tweeted at the president commending him for a good job done in handling the coronavirus situation in Ghana and pleaded with him to open the borders for a day to enable Ghanaians abroad to return home.
This request from Sarkodie sparked rage in netizens since he is expected to know better on what needs to be done to help eradicate the virus rather than exposing people to the virus. Most people believe that he made that request to bring home his friend Pappy Kojo who is currently stranded in Italy.
Ghana currently has 1042 confirmed cases, 9 deaths and 99 recoveries. Opening the borders will increase further spread of the virus, a twitter user said.
