EFCC ARREST YAHOO BOYS

26 Yahoo Boys and Kingpin where arrested by the Operatives of the EFCC, Ibadan zonal office,the arrest was made on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 when they busted a Lagos hotel believed to be a hideout for internet fraudsters. And also recovered fetish item, mobile phones, laptops,  three vehicles and documents suspected to contain fraudulent data from the suspect.

Rasaq Balogun

According to them, the target was one Rasaq Balogun, a suspected internet fraud kingpin, whose illicit activities dominated intelligence gathered from the recently arrested ‘police spies’ during a raid on their Abeokuta base.

According to findings of EFCC, Balogun harbours an army of young men between the ages of  18 and 35 years which he recruited to carry out financial frauds through the use of the internet.

Some other were also arrested at his Beckley Estate residence, also in Lagos. And were taking to the Commission’s Ibadan zonal office for further interrogation

The indicted will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

My advice to the youths is to say away from crime and illegal and fraudulent activists such as Yahoo-Yahoo, arm robbery and other Illegal activities, Times may be hard and the rate of unemployment may be  high. But there are lots of skill acquisition program in Nigeria going on which you can be part of and develop your skillset in a particular industry.

There are programs which are been organized by The Tony Elumelu Foundation , ayeen – Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs. Instead off looking for a white collar job or going into something illegal, you can always acquire a skill to go into business, build a startup and employ others.
